Intrigued

Today I watched two movies, Footloose and In Time. Both gave me great impact and provoked my thoughts.
Footloose made me feel that I am a slacker and that Western countries give lots of independence and freedom to the young, provided they are able to be responsible for themselves. Actively striving for a goal that one think is important is such a big issue. I seriously wonder when I would become motivated to do something like that. Probably never.
The dance moves were super cool and cute! A mix of modern hip hop and retro disco!
In Time gave me the greater impact. Since time is used as a currency, the inequality between the rich and the poor is broader and shows a clearer perspective. The rich lives forever, living off the poor literally. Hyperinflation is the word for their standards in setting prices and workload. The poor has to cherish each moment of their lives while the rich can live in their ideal world of lag. Relating this to reality, what would happen if time is the currency and the lifeline that everyone wants a piece of? It would clearly come down to the survival of the fittest, natural selection and all that bullshit. Inequality gap will widen. And what determines the total amount of time flowing through people and the society?
I bet the people who thinks they have lots of time in the world, will begin to realise how little their 'lots' is worth. Nobody has all the time in the world, everyone has definite length of time to live, so how can people still waste every minute of their lives? Walking slowly, doing things slowly, chitchatting non-stop in a fast food restaurant, all these are wasting time. Yet humans cannot go for long without entertainment, fun and rest. What a messed up world.
In eras like that, mortal heroes are bound to be born. So they go around stealing time for people, so as to reduce the inequality. The question is, when should they stop and die themselves?
All in all, today's movies were worth it! Hope to see The Three Musketeers soon~

Near The End

It is finally coming to an end. One more month and it is the holidays!
Reports, presentations, meetings and blabbing non-stop about course materials are all so boring.
Movies, swimming, shopping and making money are so overdue! I shall make use of the holidays to do all these. At least there is one month. Afterwards, it is back to course materials, reports and presentations!
I hate academic reports, seriously. Citations, footnotes, flow, connection and blah blah blah is making my head ache. Yet I must ace them so that I can get my desired GPA of 3.30 and not drag down my team because of my poor English. Sick.
Tomorrow I am going to slack and watch two movies. Just cannot decide which two. Footloose? In Time? The Three Musketeers? I'll see how.
I am going library tomorrow as well, see if I can dig up more books. Yawn! Due to the need for completion of work and the want for fun, I havent had enough sleep. Well, that is an exaggeration and an abomination if I told this to my teammates since I still sleep way longer than them. Who else would say an average of seven hours per day of sleep is not enough? In this society anyway. Haha.
I am splitting my time between laptop-ing, work and novels! So, yes, work and fun in balance! Though I still feel that I lack fun and vibrancy in my life~
Never mind, I need to make more money! Yes, that is my goal for the holidays!

Hypocritical

(yes I have been busy with my many projects and reports. so much so that even when I get free time, I will spend it having fun elsewhere.)
After spending so many weeks at school, I realised that I am as much a hypocrite as anyone else.
I smile at someone whom I dislike.
I laugh with others when I don't even feel the joke is funny.
I listen to others ramble when all I wish is for them to shut up.
Yes, I am a hypocrite like everyone else. And yes, everyone is one too.
Goodness some people dont know my blog address, cant find me on FB because they dont know my other email address.
I cant fit into normal crowd much since majority are just too mainstream. aka irritating wasps.
They form cliques with people they like, talk bitch or bimbo about nonsense, think themselves so marvelous and all that. All I find is the need to puke.
So yes, i am a hypocrite since I tolerate them like they do me. Some are just marvelous cos they dont even bother to tolerate, they just treat me like thin air.
wonderful.
